Bonjour à tous,
Je recopie ici le message reçu via la newsletter de l'excellent site Side-Line. Up to all of you!
This week our attention was grabbed by a Facebook event called: "In memory
of the recent suicides due to gay abuse, wear purple". In short the event
(more a gesture really) is to take place on Wednesday October 20th 2010,
worldwide and will be in honour of the 6 gay boys (and all other victims)
who committed suicide in recent weeks/months due to homophobic abuse in
their homes and at their schools. What can you do to be part of this?
Participants are asked to wear purple on October 20th. That's all.
But at Side-Line we thought it would be really cool to actually involve
those open for this initiative a bit more. So here's our idea: send a
picture of yourself to
info@side-line.com wearing purple (send it the latest
on October 19). A purple ribbon, hat, socks, whatever, we accept it all! We
will then add a wall on
www.side-line.com on October 20th with the pictures
we will receive. Several bands have already confirmed that they will take
part in this.
Deadline: October 19th!
E-mail to send your submissions to:
info@side-line.com We invite you to spread the message as much as possible via Facebook,
Twitter, MySpace (for the few still using this), blogs and e-mail. Let's
turn the world a bit more tolerant towards gay people, boys and girls.
That's the real industrial spirit!
